zini 1,939
Hi lads, Just got back from a bunny bashing session with Gurtwurz down in Hove near Brighton. We had a really good time with Gurtwurz getting his personel best record of a 45 metre supported shot on a bunny off a gate post. He got it with his new HW100KT and seems over the moon with it. His shot knocked the bunny over with clinical precision. I did some static hunting for the new DVD with my HW97KT and managed to shoot 5 in a couple of hours from 2 locations in one field. One of the bunnies were at a lased 56 metres with the others being between 25 and 40 metres. With the one that Gurtwurz proffessionally shot we ended up with 6 bunnies in total. Id just like to thank Gurtwurz for a great couple of hours shootng on his very good permission. Here is the link to the footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwJTl67uZdg Si 5 Quote Link to post

gurtwurz 792
twas like the sithlord and his new apprentice... well it was a top afternoon, so thanks si for imparting a lot of info my way, i've learnt a lot off of you mate, cheers.. i left si to a bit of static hunting in a field that weve left alone so far so he could get stuck in while i did the decent thing and buggered off to do a bit of squizzer bashing, but no luck there cos the farmers been smashing em with his 4-10 shottie the selfish sod... as i was mooching through a ride thats usually got one or two hiding about i took a squint out the side into the field that runs parallel with it and i clocked a bunny at about 45m away from a handy gatepost so i felt the power of the darkside building up, felt proper confident, and leaned on the post, giving the rabbit 3 mildots holdover as per the trajectory profile si had kindly sorted for me and squeezed off the first shot of the night and watched bugs drop like a stone, without even a kick as the webley accupell hit him just behind the eye and stopped all cognitive thought process there and then... i got another later on at 25ish m but it kicked its dead brain into a hedge before i could grab it so no photo or proof there but i can assure you gents it was a goner. i then missed an easy shot due to a bit of wind and over excitedness so i thought sod it and quietly watched the master at work while he popped off a couple.. all in all, a good time had i reckon, i'm defo looking forwards to more fun with das kraut in the immediate future, so cheers si, nice 1 all the best, wurz 4 Quote Link to post

Sweeney-Todd 208
Hiya Wurz. Congrats on christening the Kraut, 45yd is a very nice shot mate The force is obviously good in you......if you know what I mean Hope you have many more day's like it buddy happy hunting Have a slut mate. Bill. Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
thanks guys, appreciate the slut points... davy, its a shame you didnt transfer some short range magic as well cos then i'd have got the miss too!!! bill, i dunno about the force being good in me yet mate, but its definitely coming on now. seeing si at work tho was quite something , its made me realise just how much range time i need to put in now, i thought i was just about an ok shot but hes on a different level entirely, obviously due to lots and lots of practise so thats where i'm headed for a while, plus .22's a new ballgame compared to the flatter flying .20 so again, lots of practise for this lad... thanks again si, for the kraut and the tips, been a good ol' weekend all the best, wurz Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
:clapper: SPA Superb shooting Si and Wurz, no strike that! AWESOME Shooting! I wasn't expecting to see that bunny come back down to Earth any time soon the way it launched skywards. Thought it was gonna be the 1st British Bunny Satalite Phantom Quote Link to post
JackReid 35
Good post mate as always! Can I ask if you collected your bunnys each time when you got that string of long shots i nthat same position or did you leave them in place? All the best Jack Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Thanks lads for the kind comments Yes Lord Darth Wurz (John) it was a really good weekend mate and I thank you and Jackie again for your kind hospitality and for the great tattoo work and rabbit pate . Your mint at what you do buddy and a credit to the tattooing trade . A real artist. Glad that you like your HW100KT pal. You will find a new level of shooting with that rifle buddy, I’m sure. If you use the static technique I was using in any of them 2 big fields buddy with the HW100KT, I can see you bagging up on bunnies in no time what so ever pal as there are just so many there From a bipod camoed up at 25 metres pal it would be awesome. Bunny heaven for you. You were also getting some pretty cracking groups with the HW when you were zeroing pal so your shooting is a lot better than you actually give yourself credit for pal. I’ve seen a lot worse from people who claim to be a good shot put it that way pal . Hope we can do it again some time pal. I bought a new AA S400 in .177 this morning too buddy with HW silencer and Hawke 3-9x50 mil dot which is going to be my dedicated lamping rifle from now on after seeing Davy in action last week with his A410 . The bloke in the shop was really good pal and the other gun that I chose first yesterday was only doing 9FP on the shop chrono so they are sending it back to Brocock . I’ve chronoed the new S400 and its very consistent at 11.12FP with AA Fields so I’m happy with that pal. I got back to camp this afternoon and zeroed the .177 at 30 lased metres after checking the ballistic profile on Chair Gun from the chrono data etc. Once the rifle had been zeroed a squizzer came out the woods and jumped onto a big red cardboard bin outside my window. My mate (L) was with me pal and witnessed the lased 54 metre head shot on the squizzer knocking it cleanly off the bin . The poor thing didn’t know what hit it, and it was a really good shot to break the new gun in on . Si Quote Link to post
