kit keeps trying to eat me pmsl HELP

as in title i have just got 2 new kits

1 albino female very handable

1 polecat male as soon as i go to pickhim up he tries to eam me and has bitten holes all over my hands

now im not a wuss and it dont bother me but i have a 4yr old son and he loves em and handles the female but wants to play with the male aswell how n whats best to stop this iv had lots of ferrets in past and none of them where like this one lol

 

i wash hands introduce my hand before picking it up evan tho it latches on lol

The eponymous " bert the fert ", our albino hob was like that when we got him. I had more perforations than your average teabag ! But eventually with patience and loads of handling, he's a complete star now. Just take your time. Good luck

I used a bit of that technique, but mostly, it was just holding him gently and stroking him. He's so amenable to being handled now, that he'll nod off on my lap.

i had loads like him he very nice lokin fella with handlen hell settle down he looked like a kit i had last year who was a little sh*t

feed them then handle them .i roll them over on there backs then when they bite my finger i push it down there throat causing them to gag and they stop bitting .i think wev'e had the two new kits for just over a week and they have stopped biting already .Far better to get a few nips now while its not sore than later when they have big teeth and can give you a real sore one

Just persevere mate. Could go down the feretone route, but I`ve never used it mesell. Just keep teachin him that your not food and eh`ll soon learn, Try spitting in yer hand and lettin him lick that, seen that chill them out a bit as well.
