ruthi 0
Hi, I'm interested in how to soothe the teething and chewing need in young pups without causing hard mouth that isn't from genetics? A past pup of mine developed a slightly hard mouth after he grew to love nylabones and pigs' ears, and the hard mouth wasn't there previously. Thankfully it's all sorted now and he retrieves like a dream but it was pretty sticky at times and might have been a combination of things rather than just chews. I've heard chew toys such as puppy kongs, squeaky toys (for obvious reasons) bones and rawhides are out, but then others advocate a good bone chew! What do you lot think? Ruth.
