early start this morning

Went out this morning before first light for a mooch with a mates jack russel bitch, shes 9 months old now and coming on great. Anyway we started working the cover where there is usually a few bunnys hanging around hoping for a bolt to my bullgreyhound bitch which is 8 months and my bullwhippet x beddywhippet which is nearly 10 months old. The terrier worked this cover for ages without nothing bolting but was reluctant to come out, we heared the terrier baying when a very small fox came running out with the two lurchers instanting giving chase. Any way i would love to go on and tell you all how my young lurchers nailed this fox but down to their inexpeiriance and them being to young for fox really it got away into an earth in some thick cover. So when the terrier gets a bit older maybe we'll try entering it to the earth and try and get that charlie another time.
