met up with zini this evening

Recommended Posts

hi every one

before i had to meet up with si i thought i would go and have quick zero at marston farm,so i get set up and see a magpie land about 25yds in front of me ,i just lean over to pick up my AAS410K .177 and it clocks me and dose one to the back garden ,but i boxed clever and went through the hallway to the back garden to get it but it clocked me again and went north .so i thought i would see if it had landed in one of the sitty trees out back, but on my way round i spot a kit,it runs behind a tree, and all i can see is its cotton tail.so down on one knee and i waited ,waited, then a suck of me lips and it jolted forward, ranged it at 20yds THWACK!! no more hiding for you.so then i thought i better check zero but it seemed ok .and then i noticed my barrel was loose :censored: a quick repair job and carried on with my zero, every thing fine  buy then time had got on and i had to pick Jo up from work then leave to meet si

so here is some pics

now on to meet si

i had set up a meet with si AKA zini while he is back here for a while!

and we both met up at a permission of mine in Oxfordshire as he is based not far from there!

i pulled up down the lane to the paddocks and recognized si car from the description he gave me! and thumbs up and follow me,we got in to the paddocks and it was alive with pigeons but not many Bunny's around to see. so we said are hello's i explained the boundaries to si and it was get the kit ready time!

si headed north to where chaz likes to snipe from and i went south to one of my spots

it wasn't long before the first bunny showed its self,to be greeted by a AA FIELD .177 a nice clean kill 38 yds

si was still tucked away in the corner but hadn't seen any thing yet, then my second target arrived to filled with lead in the head  a nice clean 44yds shot!

then i could here a faint THWACK! in the distance and who was on the radio? yes you guessed it si had got of to a start!after a while it went quiet and it started to get dark so we met up at the cars to get lamped up,after this i went back over to where i was and i asked si if he would like to Rome the whole paddocks while i stay static.so im sat there for a while the the radio goes again another!,short time goes by and the radio is going again another!! anyway i was sick of this so i turned my radio off!!! ONLY JOKING!!!!

then i had a wander to the edge of the paddock and bagged another 44yds shot!

so all in all a quick night and a great chance to meet up with another THL member!

well done si ya a top bloke

Hi Davy buddy  ,

Thats a really good write up pal and the pictures are excellent mate :notworthy: .

Thank you very very much for your kind hospitality yesterday and giving me the full VIP treatment on your very good permission mate

It was really good to meet up with you pal and do some bunny bashing together, not so good for the bunnies i might add LOL :whistling:

Shame that i missed the 2 pigeons in the day light but just goes to show that the first time i dont check my zero before i hunt and the scope is off high and left :censored:

Thats a mistake i wont make again :icon_redface: It must of got knocked about with the miles of driving ive done over the past week where its been in the boot of the car

Never mind though once the combo was re zeroed again producing that 25 metre 4 shot 1 hole group (fluke i think :icon_redface: ) it was shooting very nice again :boogie: .

I think the 45 metre bunny i shot from the horse paddock didnt think he was in any danger either until that RWS Super Field intercepted its brain LOL.

Just like to say Davy's kills were very humane and he is a top marksman :notworthy: and a :notworthy: credit to our sport.

His .177 AA S410 with the Twink mk 2 silencer is very quiet and i dont even think them bunnies heard him squeeze off the second stage :toast: .

Yes im defo up for it again tonight buddy if you are. This time ill use the HW97KT while its light to film some more for the dvd then when it gets dark the custom R10 is coming out to play :whistling: .

Thanks again Davy your a top shot, top bloke and a real gent.

Hi Jack,

Yep buddy the HW97KT is a lovely rifle pal. The tune as made a massive difference.

I shot a pellet on top of a pellet this morning from my room window in the camp that im at on a 45 metre lased target.

I wanted to check zero for right and left and only needed 2 clicks right from last nights re zero to get pellet on pellet.

A cant wait till tonight :whistling:
