greg64 2,850
he shot a copper there was noway they were going to let him live , the police acted as jury and executioner and they will get away with it and for the record this is now a police state!! whats the difference between a POLICEMAN AND A POLICE OFFICER POLICEMAN == SERVE AND PROTECT AND UPHOLD COMMON LAW POLICE OFFICER== RAISE REVENUE PROTECT THE ESTABLISHMENT im no lover of cops, but surely if that was the case they would have shot him stone dead.why even try using tasers?the use of tasers makes me think they wanted to end it without him dying.the fact he got a round off was just unlucky on his part. i dont think he was unlucky he got a round off,it was inevitable
Night Hunter 109
It has to be asked why he was released from prison if he still posed a threat to society, especially when the prison were aware of his threats surely this should have set alarm bells ringing....... scothunter 12,609
thats the prob with the judicial system in this country, until you actually break the law the cops wont intervene.rember a case where a beast told his social worker that in all probabaility when he was released from prison he would prey and groom kids again.still let him out.utter madness and certainly not best way to be protecting kids.law needs a radical shake up and if a few civil libertys are stepped on so be it.its just the times we live in sadly. mackay 3,400
The old saying damned if you do damned if you don't springs to mind, the same people who are on here questioning the police motives would most likely be the ones shouting loudest if they had did nothing and there had been more deaths. Trouble is mate, probably 50% of all prisoners getting released are threatening one thing or another....they cant look into every single case. Most turn out to be nothing but occasionally,as in this instance......he meant it. Personally i just cant believe how angry and upset some folk are getting just because a man lost his head and shot a few people on the spur of the moment, theres plenty worse more revolting crimes happening every day that get a tiny corner on the 7th page of a newspaper that people dont even bother talking about anymore because its so common.....just because this Moat fella was on the run for a week it became a high profile case, when in reality more disgusting crimes take place every day that nobodies interested in. artic 595
Would of been nice to have him alive, however he was very unstable, aggressive, and very unpredictable. I'm sure the police officers/service can justify their actions.
