Guest Frank
Made a phone call just now, to an add, for some whippet pups, not too far from me. The lad said he only has 1 bitch pup and 3 dogs. Blue in colour and the father is registerd, from sooty sam lines and mother non registerd good worker. He uses them for ferreting/lamping. They have not been injected as yet and are 13 weeks tommorow. So i will have to get her injected, would this be ok do you think folks? Well, hopefully all is well and i get back with a nice whippet bitch, for ferreting, i hope. :11: This was ment to all happen in the spring, just cant wait. :11: Frank. Quote Link to post
snoopdog 1,256
dont wait till spring frank GET IT NOW.it will be perfect for next season and plenty of action threw the summer to bring it on... i also read somewhere that there better having there injections at twelve weeks because if you give them earlier there mothers imune system is still active in the pup so the injections dont work to there full potencial.. dont no how true this is. .. just get the fooker if the dog has got what you want bred in it ...good luck.. Tina 1
stike while the irons hot, frank best of luck to ya. it won't be 'Strike while the irons hot' (Glen) as the father, as he is Mike Browns top stud at the moment and is still owned by Mike, and the fella Frank is going to see has both parents there, but it could be a son of his, still a top dog I'm sure Quote Link to post

Guest Frank
Thanks very much folks. I will keep you all posted as to what happens, with pics if possible Im glad i can get to see both parents, if im lucky, might get to see them run, but ill see how it goes, play it by ear. Never thought of asking if they were dew clawed , o well, it will all be expained to me in the morning. My wife booked her in for tuesday at the vets, to get her injected , but i think she is more concerned about her shih-tzu, as she thinks my pup will pass on something. :11: She is also concerned that my whippet will eat them for breakfast Off early in the morning, looking farward to it. Jettyboy 174
Good luck Frank - that's exactly the type of bitch we're after, but we've just moved house so it's not the right time. Once we're sorted we'll be looking into it again - hopefully a blue bitch or a blue and white bitch. Keep us posted and try and get some pics up. Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Thanks Jettyboy Not really the right time for me ither , just seems right for some reason, hope i am right. :11: Anyway, got the wife to come round, but she is being fecking snotty about the whole thing, which does not make matters easy. blackdug 90
bribe her with a free shopping trip frank,,that,s what i do when i want a new dog ,,it,s the most expensive thing for me when getting a dog ,, i think deep down she enjoys it Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
:11: I just went down the off licence for her, she wanted some beers, so she seems happy with that for now. I think she will come round. But, she has said it cant come in the house . As its only 13 weeks old, it might get cold which im worried about a wee bit. Although, she will be in a wooden shed, 10ft x 8 ft and a straw bedding for her to sleep on. I was thinking i would get a heat lamp for her, what you all think? or would she be fine without one? Thanks, Frank. Quote Link to post
