stubby 175
sounds to me like you'd be better off reading some books this year, and forget breeding till next year Quote Link to post
The one 8,463
The first question you should be asking is Is my ferret a good enough worker to breed from , then take it from there Quote Link to post
ferretertom 7
Better idea dont breed it at all theres plenty unwanted about so whats the point in the hassle. Quote Link to post
lurcher lass 9
research books, internet, mags etc on ferret care as you should know something as basic as "when they come into season" if your keeping ferrets already make sure the bedding and diet is correct as clearly your knowledge on their basic upkeep is low.. and certainly don't breed until you know more about the species Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
Ferrets are photoperiodic breeders and jills come into oustrus when the daylight hours increase, the vuvla is swollen and they need to be brought out of season via mating, although this can be done with a vasectomised hob. The best advice is only breed if you NEED more ferrtes and the jill you own is a good worker, there are far too many ferrets out there and breeding should be thought about more carefully IMO.............
