Working from home

Recommended Posts

As I don't have much work on today, thought I'd spend the day 'in the office' doing the admin, and writing the content for my website that'll be up in a few days.

Anyway, as is always the tendency when working from home, I've spent far too much time on THL, and had far too many tea breaks to really be considered productive! However, I took the opportunity to thin out a few collared doves in my back garden during one of the aforementioned tea breaks!

I dropped these 4 from an upstairs window using my .22 V-Mach tuned HW95K all in the space of about 10 minutes. 2 head shots, 2 neck shots. That's the ferret's tea sorted for tonight.

I'm having a bit of fun with the HW95K while my R10 is back with BSA. I know it's been said before, but it's amazing how much gun handling you lose when shooting in luxury using a PCP like most of us do!

Anyway, best get back to work!

Nice going there Ron :clapper: SPA for being such a non productive person

What kind of site are you building?

Thanks Phantom!

I've just started my own pest control business after working for a national company for several years, and the business website is in the process of being built. I'm not building it, just writing the content. Anyway, as I type I can see 3 more collared doves out of the window in my garden. I'll leave them for now, but at 5 o'clock, it's all fair game!

Hey Ron,

Just so happens I'm working on a Pest Control web site for someone on here as well

Seems there is going to be a lot of competition for the big companies :boxing:8)

I'm looking at doing the PC level 2 etc as well :gunsmilie:

Yes working from home does have its benefits :), Is that a big tub of 'boilies' I see in the top left picture?

Good luck with self employment, if you get the work, you cant beat being the boss :) I have a mate who works from Brownhills in the midlands, he did the same thing, worked for a large firm, rope accesses, bird nets/wires and other general pest control, hes been self employed for a few years now and has plenty to keep him in a very good wage.

There's a lot of competition out there that's for sure, and it's a slow building process, obviously. I've been working for myself for a couple of months now, and last week was by far my best as wasp season is starting to get going now. Got a few other jobs on the go too, so things are starting to move in the right direction. I didn't realise you were a web designer Phantom. When my site is up, I'll put the link in my signature, and look forward to your professional critique!

Thanks Mark. Sadly it's just a tub of dog biscuits. I lost interest in carp fishing some years back and sold up. Sometimes I wish I hadn't, but I have more fun with my airguns really!

Erm..... Hang on there Darryl....

If I'm not mistaken you just got your "HOME SWEET HOME" back from Scannia :hmm:

Oh yeah Bill, I'm glad I wasn't eating or supping, cus that would surely have finished me laptop off

SPA as well!

I'm not really; just done a fair few for people.

I was studying the CIW in web-management and design; until they closed me down due to a previous business failure that lead to bancruptcy :icon_redface: so I couldn't afford to finish the course

I was that desperate to get off the friggin dole, I took an ill thought out business and dived in head first, chucking good money after bad, still it did get me off the dole for 6 years.
