used to be a guy on ebay sold plastic pegs,hard solid ones cut into triangles bought a few dozen to try and they do the job great,werent that expensive i dont think.

i got stuck once for pegs and ended up digging through the cupboard to come accross camping pegs, done the job grand the only prob was they got a tad heavt after a while, but i've only got little arms lol

i like tent pegs myself. and there only about 10p each

used tent pegs for a while;- kept loseing them.... felt guilty bout it too- leaving them there so i use wood ones now- more eco friendly lol

Good Harwood Pegs. Round off and Sand (if your ferreting and pushing pegs in all day its alot kinder on your hands ) I then soak mine in Teak Oil for a week or so in an old Sweet Jar. Hang them for a few days to dry out and them paint the Tops of the Pegs to a bright Colour of your choice.

I use a good quality ply, make them myself on the saw at work, they last well n take me about 15 minutes to make 50, where are you in the country? D
