ok guys ive just made my first 2 ferret box's and will put the pic's on tomorrow when they are dry, when you take them out working should i put some wood shavings in the bottom?

Aye put some shavings in the bottom mate it helps cushion the ferrets and soaks up the pi*s and crap , Its great using a box you have made yourself and it helps keep the cost down

Holes in the top are not a good idea as when it rains the ferrets and shavings will get wet .

good on you for trying, but as stated, holes in top will let rain in, plus they look a bit long, could do with being shorter

think what it will be like, walking through woods/fields, bags of nets, shovel, packed lunch?, caught rabbits, longnets? plus one or two of those boxes

i like to call the first one a prototipe,heres my first one and the second one witch is a bit small and hopin to get a double nocked up soon ready for the season
