stubby 175 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Share Posted July 11, 2010 ferret kitts rarely show true potential until the following season, I tend to take them out a couple at a time with an older fert and just let them get on with it, never expect great results first few times out, but over a period of time, you'll see certain character's within the ferts that you like, and then those kitts will get taken out more often, Quote Link to post

The one 8,463 Posted July 11, 2010 Report Share Posted July 11, 2010 Get them out into pipes in your garden to get them used to the noise and movements etc .Then the first time you take them out they shouldn't be so excitable and have a head for work .Stick to small burrows preferably with a older working ferret ,Then when you judge the times right to try them by themselves check the burrow after wards with a older working ferret and you can see how they are getting on Quote Link to post
