bit of advice needed

Hi there ive just got myself a new collie grey bitch pup after my last dog got pts she 7 week old and is doing great the problem is i want to get her used to sleeping in her training cage she wont be in it every night just so she used to it so if we have a bad winter again she can come in the house at night as shel only be 6 month old when winter comes just for peace of mind ,she is good in her kennel and has got used to her cageat night the problem is she shites all over it and it ends up eberywhere i put her in her cage at 10:30 and let her out at 0500 is this to long i try to wait untill she goes at night but she still craps every where any advice cheers steve

if you have a decent kennal built mate i see no reason why it can't stay out all year round ,rip the young dog to what happind to it

Steve, dont worry about your dog getting cold in the winter,a dry,draught free kennel a bit of extra bedding and your dog will be fine,forget the cage get the dog outside.It sounds to me like you are making a nightmare for yourself...ps. you can get some sleep then...getting up at five every morning.

as for the messin mate take her for a walk round the block or were ever be for you put her down for the night

I can tell you really care for your dog however,just leave the dog outside whatever the weather you will just mess its routine up and have it whining and barking to get back in your house,,i know it may sound a bit rough to you but in my opinion its better outside..sorry to hear about your other dog.

ok thanks lads outside she stays to be honest my last dog troy would not stay in house he hated it even from a pup screamed his head off 1st week i got him i thought cant take no more put him in his pen in middle of night never heard a peeep from him had to go and check he was ok lol he was happiest in his kennel
