i was offerd one out of really good stuff for 350 quid i couldnt bring myself to pay it , if the same guy who offerd me the pup wanted one of mine i would be charging in the region of 100 covering cos

why the f**k would anyone want to kennel club register a working terrier??? Oh yeah, MONEY!

Never a truer word spoken. Some people wouldn't know a good terrier if it jumped up an' grabbed 'em by the throat !!! :good:

Got to say thats rubbish, ANY terrier that you can dig to regularly is a good'en, regardless of breed. But then I suppose most wont make you the same ammount of ££££££ when you breed a litter, so if thats your game :feck:

Until people put the working terrier first, and forget about the money and the Kennel club, then the borders will always be a minority breed. Shame really.

well then ,we,ll just have to see wont we, im being honest, mine wont be registerd, and im not asking silly money. :laugh:

Well good on you :thumbs: test em hard, and keep it real, there arnt many who keep borders that think the same way as you.

The main thing I disagreed with was the comment saying you cant beat a border, well in my opinion all working terriers are equal if they can be dug to, just my opinion :victory:

hi all anyone working borders below ground if so what they like any info would be great

had a few dandyhow lines borders about 25 years ago slow starters a bit tempremental and sulky,but steady away digging dogs,a few people worked them those days,good swimmers for ratting becks etc,atb

i dont have a problem with that, as long as they work, a working terrier is a working terrier. :thumbs:

no i haven,t had the experience thankfully,

on the day the dog already held a MFH working certificate

so was a tried and tested working terrier so i fully expected it

to work, or am i being naive
