"Earth!" 503
i had a border(although it had a distant dash of lakey in it)which was stolen.she self entered at around 6 mth old in a large place whilst walking her,my own fault,i knew the place was there she had promise and from that day onward,my heart said she would of made something of herself. i will one day get another.i have been told from a few old school terrier lads, once you have had a "GOOD" working border, you wont want another breed.. untill/if i replace the bitch,i think i will stick to the blacks Quote Link to post
The Breeder 156
is it pick on breeder week ive no axe to grind with breeder but it should always be get to the truth week Agree with that....... Thread is called 'Border terriers,,,,who works them' & all I can see is talk of breeding/selling/registering & what with the all the new 'clubbie' talk talk and none of work, surely not difficult to make a sad prediction. Shame would have been nice to have seen one doing its thing. a good border that was lost to ground 2 months ago this photo was taken last year on a shoot were they had a fox takeing pheasants on a regular basis as for the border club think il give that a miss This is Markp digging mates dog Monty - dug to him a few times. Good strong game dog Edited July 27, 2010 by The Breeder Quote Link to post

small 'n' nasty 0
you cant beat a border, Never a truer word spoken. Some people wouldn't know a good terrier if it jumped up an' grabbed 'em by the throat !!! Quote Link to post

HALTY LAD 92
you cant beat a border, Never a truer word spoken. Some people wouldn't know a good terrier if it jumped up an' grabbed 'em by the throat !!! Got to say thats rubbish, ANY terrier that you can dig to regularly is a good'en, regardless of breed. But then I suppose most wont make you the same ammount of ££££££ when you breed a litter, so if thats your game Until people put the working terrier first, and forget about the money and the Kennel club, then the borders will always be a minority breed. Shame really. Quote Link to post
