gnasher16 30,046
Before you go off on a rant again i never called him a bum i said "some" might call him a bum. I dont feel sorry for him and thats that, would he feel sorry for me if i fell of the wagon.....would he f**k. The man had a chance to be 1 of the very best footballing talents England has ever produced and he threw that all away. Now if he was joe public and the world was against him and he couldn't get a break anywhere then maybe i would feel a tad sorry but he was not, he was an idol to youngsters and he is now just a laughing stock. Yes the media have played a part in this but they also could have made him a superstar just as easy like they have made the likes of squeaky clean Beckam. George Best is exactly the same..........got the help, didn't take it so sorry no sympathy here. Well what a big bad toughie you are,i wouldnt dare mess with you i couldnt compete with such a seriously intense and hard natured individual, you really are quite formidable No he probably wouldnt feel sorry for you.....but then who are you ? what joy have you given to the average man in the street? Yes he was an idol and yes he is now a laughing stock....but part of what makes a professional sportsman a great is mental strength,Gazza didnt have any,is that reason to pull him to shreds,no it just means despite his proven physical talent he wasnt blessed with mental strength and discipline....it happens in all sports mate and thats life theres no reason to mock it. " Got the help didnt take it no sympathy here "......either you dont really understand the disease of being an alcoholic or you truly are an ignorant heartless fool.......im going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you just dont really understand the disease, which in fairness most dont. gnasher16 30,046
not just sport gnasher, the british press are renound for their brutal reporting and knocking someone down.sometimes its a good thing, but in gazzas case thats the gutter end of reporting.but if he dont want help then their aint much you can do about it.the reporter in this case was only doing his job, rightly or wrongly it got the desired affect. Yep agree....unfortunately its the nature of this country to build our sports stars and celebrities up and up and up until they reach the top......then desperately try to drag them back down with whatever mistakes they make or scandal they can find. I cant stand the yanks but give them their due when a sports star hits the top over there,he stays at the top his whole life,he is not dragged down for any tiny mistake he ever makes in life. You dont like people having a diff opinion do you mate. Just cause i dont feel sorry for him you've decided all this about me........well good for you then. Exactly my point "what joy have you gave to the average man on the street".......lets get this straight, he was a f*****g good footballer but no better a human being than you or me. And maybe it is a disease but its a self inflicted 1 and 1 that many people recover from, people that dont have the money or help that he would have got!! Happy to have a debate with you on shit but please dont lecture me like some f*****g old headteacher.
