tylerasker 6
My big lad is in my photo gallery on my profile, he's now 9 months and can't wait to get him out this season! His sire was a big welshhoumd bull greyhound and the mother was suliki deerhound, he's now 25/26 tts and immensley strong. He was bred for daywork on the hill (Charlie), but hoping he'll work the lamp well as he's now started spotting. What's everyones opinions on this breeding? Quote Link to post

zigzag dan 784
Thats right Ray , he was welsh hound bull gry x bull gry , never had a dog who killed so cliniclly . Used to shake them once , sometimes they were dead on impact , then he would drop them and walk away ! . He was 27tts , head like a bucket , immense jaw , never hunted up on lamp , but in day i saw him run stuff into a wood , out again and kill it . He once chased a rabbitt out a field and came back with a fox - over a 5 bar gate !!!! Sold him due to personal reasons at time , lad who brought him said he would hold a red stag down till help arrived ,hope yours is half as good as him as youll be well pleased !!! Quote Link to post

Dan Edwards 1,134
In all honesty, I grew up with some greyhoundy coonhound type crossed up dogs and I'm tellin you I seen some that would flat run some shit down and stretch it right now. I know where there is a "staghound" at right now that is allegedly 1/8th coonhound and he is supposed to be a rough sumbitch. Quote Link to post
dogs-n-natives 1,182
A friend of mine had one... he got rid as it was pure and simply a very fast foxhound in its working style, awesome nose... would have suited me, but not him, as he does far more lamping than hunting. Saying that, there can be differences in working style even within the same litter with crosses like this, so id play it by ear, and work with your dogs best qualities. all the best DnN Quote Link to post

Lol All ground was fine for him , as long as something needed killing on it !! Not saying it will happen but , have heard that the sire and a couple of the litter had to be pts as older dogs as they became dog killers , the urge to kill in hound crosses is very strong and you need to be very switched on with them . tylerasker 6
I like to think of my humor as an Eddie Murphy 80s stand up humor! Haha. Take it your "coonhound" is the Yankee welsh hound kinda thing is it? I've read a few of your threads and I've gotta be honest I'm so f*****g jealous man Peace Quote Link to post

Not much difference really though in the grand scheme of things. Raw or Delirious? Quote Link to post
