how about using different coloured ferret collars plus it will help them get used to wearing collars when you take them out ferreting if you dont have coloured collars use insulation tape on the collars cheers DM :victory:

Over time if you handle well & every day .. you will notice slight differences between all the jills for example.. things like tail length .. & general overall feel

Some will be slightly bigger / heavier ... even down to the texture of the coats .. they will be all differnt

use your hands to differentiate

i was looking at hair dye for pets , or a cheeper way is bath them in a bowl with food dye and its safe

To be honest i dont think you need to mark them with anything .. in time you will feel the differences in them all

i tried permant marker on four albino jills when i took them out the box they where all the colours of the rainbow . Then i tried differnt coloured tape on there collars but if they dont lift there heads you cant see whos ,who .Get a pair of scissors and snip ones tail straight across snip a bit off another one between the shoulders ect and you will soon find out whos who .They will have differnt working styles anyway
