hi ya buddy

22 or 177 are nearly the same matey i shoot 177 all the time until i got the 22 hw100kt a couple of days ago but the result is still the same they end up dead

with the 177 the wind hits it more and the 22 is heavy so goes through the wind better the 177 is a flatter shot than the 22 bow but either way they do the same once you have practised enough to take vermin out then the result is the same dead and proper dead :thumbs: someone will come along soon and give you the full tec about 177 and 22 but i shoot both and find they do the same but to be honest i like the noise the 22 makes when hitting the skull with the 177 they penertrate more and less SMACK noise :clapper:

shay

and stealthy :clapper::clapper::clapper::clapper::tongue2:

hi buddy

i shoot both Cal's .177 , .22 i use them alternative months! and this month its .177

just had a good June with .22 so its all about shot placement!

although will say this

.177 fly faster! and is lighter and has less power curve.

.22 fly slower! but is heavier and has more of a power curve.

some say .22 for fur & .177 for feather,but it dose not really matter! as long as you can hit the kill zone, your quarry is not going to tell the difference :thumbs:

regards

A lot of people who do target shooting go for the .177`s. Hense, looking on the net i notice the .177 version of the s410 seems to be about 100quid more 2nd hand in some places!!!!

Out in the field there really isnt much difference. The .22 has a move curved tradgectory so you have to factor that in when your shooting things. Personally I prefer .22, and chatting to my local gunshop the other day, he sells twice as many .22`s as .177`s.

Sorry lads i still stick by .177 Because when i used .22 there was so many time's i was shooting woody's and there head twiched just after i pulled the trigger and the .22 just cliped the side of the brain and did not kill only drop and injer it :no: A good frind told me he used .177 i took his gun out for a hunt and never look back. Yes you can use both cals but i think .177 is the dogs bits :thumbs:

my self altho im .22 at the moment i would happerly swap the s410 .22 for a .177 any day.

did my mill dot ranging the other day as i havent had her long. as a rough guied 5 meters = 1 mill dot. on my combo. was a little gutted after being used to the range and flat flight of the s300 .177

but hay thats what its all about getting to no your kit and ranges. both do a good job when the pellet hit the right spot.
