what is the best air rifle if on a budget

Recommended Posts

I paid a mere £70 for that one it came with a Bisley 4x32 scope on a very good one piece mount (as well as open sights) Its a copy of the Gamo Hunter.

The guy gave me the reciept for the gun, he had purchased it only about 6 weeks earlier, for his young lad, ut it was a bit on the large side for him. He paid £130 for it. this is 3 years backt hough.

I love to shoot this springer and its running at about 10.5 ft/lbs

How much is the budget though? £50 is a budget, as is £500!

Some of the older BSA's offer great value for money, all depends on how much you can spend!

Obviously the more you can wring out of the housekeeping, the more rifle you'll get! Just tell the missus you'll make the money back by saving on meat from all the bunnies you'll shoot! ;)

True stealthy buddy

Yeah Whippetboy as Stealthy says any of the full power HWs will do and kill any of the legal UK vermin easily.

If you buy a looked after second hand HW that is up on its power at around 11 to 11.8 FP you will have a rifle that will last you 20 to 30 more years.

They are built to last the test of time and are work horses.

Ive got 3 HW's at the moment with one of them going to a good friend on here. I just cant say enough good things about them pal.

Best of luck

people need to know your budget really, the diference of £100 could be the difference between a springer and a pcp, is it your first gun? weirauch hw95 are brilliant guns and ideal to start with as they are at the top end of the springers, but not having the hassle of charging gear for a pre-charged.
