Its a good place to be, good advice and you dont have to be a nut job to fit in well here But it certainly does help :11: Phantom Thanks for the warm welcome I saw a small wright up in one of the airgun mags, Me and my dad were going to spend between £600 and £700 on 1 but then he read abit about the webley raider 10 which it cheaper and it means we can get 2 for the price of 1 so to speak, We have shotguns but are new to air rifles so I can imagine there will be lots more questions, cheers. Phantom 631
Well Ben, When you feel the need to ask, there will allways be someone here to answer Just remember, Head shots are the key a little lump of lead needs to be placed just right for a proper job. The Very Best Advice anyone can give, is spend lots of time on the paper targets before going for the bunnies and stuff. Shooting at different ranges and in wind is a whole different ball game to shotties Enjoy the shooting, it'll have you and your dad hooked for life Phantom Quote Link to post

Uncle Phil 0
Sorry to drag this thread up again after it's been wallowing in the undergrowth for a few months, but I have had a Raider 10 suggested to me as an alternative to a Airy Arms S410. It looks very much the job, and the (more sensible !) reviews are fairly positive. I use a club owned S410 and love it, but due to "budgetary restraints" I'm not in a position to go buy 550 quid's worth of airgun at the mo. Do you recon this would be a suitable long-term alternative or should I wait for my boat to come in and get a coveted S410? Oh, by the way. Hello everyone Quote Link to post

Druid 66 0
Hello, Has any one got the webley raider 10 XS pcp air rifle? Im think of getting one for rabbits but would like to know what other people's opinions are of this gun, cheers. Ben Hi Ben When I lived in the UK I owned many Air Rifles including a few PCPs. They were a Webley Raider 2 shot (FAC) and a 12FPE Raider 10. I also owned an Air Arms S200 a 410-TDR - A BSA Hornet - And a Parker Hale Phoenix  Apart from the hopeless hornet all these ARs were great in different ways - However the Raider 10 was the most reliable and definately the best value for money Unfortunately I was obliged to sell my air-rifle collection before I emigrated to OZ leaving the Raider as `the last to go` I`d say you should`nt have too much trouble getting one in the UK as there are plenty around second-hand and they were always strangely unfashionable - I always put this down to them being a bit plain Jane looking but for me the Raider 10 was a just a reliable work-horse for bunny bashing `and many we did bash` Hopefully the next Raider 10 will turn out to be as good as the original and Webley say the NEW `XS` won`t have a shrouded barrel so maybe it to will be allowed into Australia aswell (Sound moderators are illegal out here ) Good luck anyway - Druid BTW. Does anyone know what the delay is with the new XS model as I thought it was coming out at the end of July 2010 ?? Quote Link to post
