Simoman 110
As there a lot of us here who enjoy MMA, just wondered who you consider the best current pound for pound fighter and why. For me its Georges St Piere, he has good wrestling despite no professional or amateur background, a good ground game and ability to pass guard, amazing athletisism, great striking and conditioning
scent 509
got to agree with you there simo GSP
gnasher16 30,279
got to agree with you there simo GSP I despise that term " pound for pound "....its a new trendy terminology for an impossible question.....how could anyone say St Pierre would beat Brock Lesnar for example.....he would get murdered !!...the reason being Brock Lesnars strength is his size and strength !!.....so to compare the 2 men as athletes and fighters and say one could beat the other " pound for pound " is just ludicrous. I would say the most complete mma fighter around at the moment is St Pierre yes,but he will be beaten as will Lesnar. It seems to be a sport where no man totally dominates their division for an entire generation like in boxing, why that is im not really sure but that keeps it interesting i guess. TOMO 26,505
agree with fellas, but also think anderson silva is up there, and to be honest i prefer to watch his fights
Kye 77
I would have to say BJ Penn,...he has fought at 236lbs, and still won fights!...he fought Lyoto Machida to a decsision when he was at 205lbs...thats saying something for a guy who SHOULD be at 145lbs!...sick skill, natural HEAVY hands, thick skin,...sadly though, little to no work ethic! GSP, another very talented guy, and very humble...ground game that is scary good!..not a very heavy hitter, which is a shame. Anderson Silva,...un-matched striking ability, heavy hands, lethal accurate!...great BJJ, he has weak wrestling though, but his stand-up and BJJ make up for that.. My favourite fighter though, for showmanship, warrior spirit, and down right grit, HAS to be Kazushi Sakuraba...never been tapped, a smallish guy, fight anyone, anywhere, anytime...love that guy. Another old favourite is Igor Vovchanchin...CRAZY HEAVY HANDS!..

Lab 10,979
GSP for me too..........been great watching him bulk up and be the dominant force he is now. And for biggest arse it has to be Matt Serra- any time he gets his ass whooped is a joy to watch
.terrier man. 193
ye gsp for me also his conditioning is incredible. But everyone who watches mma wants to se brock vs fedor
christian71 3,187
What about Miguel Angel Torres Record: 37-1-0 Miguel Torres, the WEC Batamweight Champion, is one of the most under-appreciated fighters. He has won 17 straight fights and has not lost a bout since 2003. A lot of people want to discredit Torres’ accomplishments because the “135 division isn’t that strong,†but when you steamroll through everyone like Torres has, you are clearly a top-tier fighter.
