Phantom 631
Corker Andy PMSL I think you may just be onto something with that theory buddy Phantom Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
I wrote a couple of threads a while back about my attempts at pigeons and Phantom recommended the UV pen idea, cracking! If you get yourself 12 shell decoys and a UV pen (less than £30.00 the lot) and follow phantom's advise on where to apply it to the decoy, the pigeons will come in their droves. I love popping pigeons with an air rifle, more than rabbits in fact. They are more predictable in their daily pattern and all you need to do is work out where they'll be and when. Then simply set up near a sitty tree with decoys on the ground and wait.... Great fun! At this time of year, stalking them is extremely difficult as they will see you usually way before you see them in the tree, so decoying is probably the best bet and can keep you entertained all afternoon long! matt_hooks 188
Interesting concept silent, pigeons as a physical embodiment of Schrodingers uncertainty principle! We've had Schrodingers cat, now it's time to put the pigeons amongst the cats! As for the pact between the bunnies and the pigeons, I think you might well be right, though my problem today was a pair of fecking buzzards flying overhead, ensuring mr Lapin et famille had a pint of cheap cider, and made a sharp exit! Sweeney-Todd 208
Hiya guy's. Have you seen this on flea bay? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BIRD-VISION-WHITE-UV-PAINT-DECOY-PIGEON-MAGNET-hide-/200389749385?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item2ea828ea89 Might be worth a punt? matt_hooks 188
That looks interesting. If it's like the normal water based UV's, you can thin it down loads and still get the UV flourescence effect. Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
I shoot one or two most days when in the woods in the evening, as they come into land above. Or just hearing the tell tale coo - freeze and scan then shoot. Quote Link to post

matt_hooks 188
I thought it looked dear at first, til I had a hunt round and found it's actually a pretty good price! You could paint the path home from the pub, then when you've had a few too many and can't find your way home, just flip on your handy uv torch, and find your way straight back, to the pub!
