Some people would argue that the old .22 is not up for the job, but this just proves them wrong, well done mate. How much further would you take a shot at a fox with it?

Two nights ago on Channel more4 there was a programme called urban fox attack and the pest controller used a .22 with subs to shoot the foxes so it must be fairly good if a licenced pest controller uses 1, mind you it was only at 20-30yards so I would want to take charlie down

I have never had a fox come withing range for my .22 so I wouldnt know how they handle the red fella

I think you'll find .22 is allowed by some police forces to be used for fox dispatch upto a max of 30yds, of course others may differ

Its true, the HO firearms guide for the police states .17 CF as minimum for fox, although you do find some constabularies allowing it.
