I am currently researching for a new book on old working strains of ferret like Welsh ratters, greyhound and so forth, I am interested in a Yorkshire strain called "the Chutney ferret" widely used up and around the Dales. Any information much appriecated.........................

any pics of the magwitch? or info on them so far and do u know if still around? good luck with the book and finding things out ;)

lmffao iv just typed in "the chutney ferret" into google and its come up with "chutney ferret - 13 definitions - a homosexual male or a land bound ferret that works in a chutney factory". and other stuff about gays, but nothing about ferrets lmfao, are u having a laugh with us magwitch :doh: lol

they were given the name "chutney ferrets" as this strain was predominantly kept by veggie uphill gardeners who refused to feed them flesh

Thanks for the info Leeview it shows you very knowledgeable about this particular strain, I will give you a mention in the book (for a small fee)..........................................:thumbs:
