Good service from West Mids Police

Just thought I'd post to say what good service I got from West Mids Police regarding obtaining my SGC.

 

Sent away a few weeks before Cumbria happened, so thought that would be it, kicked into long grass, but no got a call the week after Cumbria, arranged to see me the next week, on the night the officer was due to come after 6, got a very appologetic call saying he couldn't make it, re-arranged for the following week, true to his word he turned up, rather than being questioned in depth it was more like a pleasent chat, he didn't look around the house just at the cabined, gave me a few tips on concealing it and that was that. The next week licence arrived. Got a few conviction for petty things including a conditional discharge, this was the only one he questioned me on, when I told him what it was for (criminal damage for fly posting) he laughed and said I propbably would have only got a caution in Birmingham for that. what is more he was asking why my partner had not applied and was kinda encouaging her to do so!

 

So happy with the service and thought I should say so as I know a lot of people get let down by the service they got.

 

Also, fair play to BASC, I spoke to them at Kelmarsh about the issues I would have siting a gun cabinet being in a rented house, followed their advice and as stated got no hassle.
