well just watched the programme about the twins attack and its obvious they are too many in our citys and they need controlling BUT im also fasinated by how they can survive and thrive anywhere they settle it dont matter to the fox if its the highlands of scotland or the suburbs of peckham he will always find a home and a meal and fair play to him lol!!!! i think they are amazing animals in truth and are only doing there best to get by we moan when they kill a few chickens or poults but look what humans have done to the planet the recent bp oil leak being a good example :whistling: dont get me wrong ive killed many a fox in my time, will kill many more and know they need keeping on top of but when you compare the fox to a rabbit, rat, hare, deer etc then they are the easily the most i respect out them all maybe its all about one hunter respecting another???????

I have huge respect for them, just like any other animal. They are fantastic creatures just doing what they have evolved to do, and they do it well but they do need to be controled and it should be performed with respect and dignity.

Respect where respect is due, watched a vixen couple of times last year when out with the dogs, she was dug out by the hunt later on , watched her as i'd watch any wildlife, not love or hate , just interested, I'll probably try the up coming pup on one in time, just to test his mettle , to see what he's made off , but have no great need to work them any more, cant eat the f****r, cant sell it, cant feed the dogs on it, now if one was annoying me out lamping it becomes personal and all bets are off, apart from that , just cant be f*****g bothered anymore,,the rural fox has his place,,the urban fox is just a oversized rat and is a different matter altogether,,

i like foxes, i respect them as a quarry and an interesting mammal, it was good to see the video footage of their behaviour and habits, i used to see them walk along a fence like any household moggy,, without the fox a lot of other wildlife wouldn't be in check and we wouldn't have the hounds, terriers and lurchers we have today.

i completly agree that urban foxes are in the same box as pigeons and rats, they need to be very much controlled and to be honest kept at distance,, the country fox i view in a different way, for he is far more intelligent and it would be fantastic to save this animal from the guns and control it via hounds, terriers and lurchers again, for its only this way where you can seperate the smart fox from the very smart fox .. bring back the times where you watched the fox that got away and think he deserved that, good on him

all the best lurcher lass xxx

Anybody who dosent have respect for them imho is not worthy to hunt them.I have never had a reason to hunt them with only being a poacher of edible game but have been out with lads on the odd digg and followed hounds on foot plus caught a few with my lurchers in the past [bANNED TEXT] they have unexspectedly bolted from cover and they are definately a quarry to be admired.

nothing better than seing a fox in full fur ,hunting in snow im lucky to witnnes it a few times ,but nothing like a good pelt of them ,if i see one and hees in range wel hees game but i never go looking for them unles denning etc ,to me there pest to be controled at times, youd better ask a grouse keeper or hil farmer what he thinks of the fox or a pheasant feeder ,

got total respect for old reynard.love to hunt them and dig them but on the other hand i can sit for hours watching cubs play.they are one of the cleverest creatures alive and deserve utmost respect at all times.if i can i always let them run for another day but they also need to be controlled in certain circumstances.

I respect all life, if it to balans nature a little , this is good. The big problem here , small island too many peoples. No space for any wildlife, I remeber 20 year ago visit Uk, was very much land & green area, Now, many place have many house. 1/2 land gone in this time ! You need control this, countryside is bare, no many animal now. I see 10 000 hecacre a week, i see 2 deer, 4 fox & manybe 10 rabbit, & hawk !! You country has be killed. I remember see many deer , maybe 40/50 walk thru field, also Hare box in medow. If fox in wrong place , remove if do damage. I no kill for no reason,I shoot many old rabbit 150m distans & leve in field for fox to eat, this make chicken safe. i love see in nature, in corec place.
