lurcher lass 9
i'm surprised channel four actually done a program that was pretty even and fair to both sides,, if this was on bbc i feel it would be a different matter.. firstly what a fantastic shot that pest control fella has! fair play and i'm pleased that the program showed the kill of both foxes, shows the urban public how humane it tis nice to see the part where the farmer was stating he had less problems when the hounds were allowed to work his land you never know it may help the city folk think different though i have to say i grew up in tottenham in london and saw the dirty unwell foxes with mange etc, had neighbours have cats hurt by them, and we had the foxes in the house from time to time, e.g we had a vixen come into the kitchen and steal some meat defrosting for dinner,, had cubs playing with the football in the garden, they do without a doubt need to be controlled and i do not believe that country foxes have moved to towns but as towns have expanded onto foxes territory they have then bred and the cubs have grown up with less fear then the parents of people traffic etc, as they breed each generation gets tamer, at least london are starting to accept that theres too many foxes around and are getting a taste of what country farmers have to deal with all the time some people on that program though were just weird!! all the best lurcher lass xxx

nicholiath 1
Just watched it, very good not the usual sentimental portrayal! I am a little confused with regard to releasing trapped foxes, i was under the impression you are not allowed to release them
lurcher lass 9
i know of a rspca branch local to where i grew up, gathered up 35 urban foxes, either trapped for pest control or recovered from injury or poison etc, loaded these 35 URBAN foxes ie foxes that only know how to scavange all with their own territorys and loaded these foxes into a single van drove out to somerset and released all 35 in one site then drove home and got a pack on the back its the state of the urban thinking,, they don't take a minute to think of how these foxes will survive after not knowing how to hunt, their almost certain going to be hitting the first poultry shed they find! and the large number of foxes will of course fight for food, space, territory etc but the fluffy bunny bunny like to see them realeased!! Thats the trouble most of these sanctuarys are run by people with a walt disney mentality and havent got a clue as the case you mentioned verifies that.Dave who bred your pups has had trouble with the dam nailing foxes numptys have dumped on the common nr were he lives foxes that are unfamiliar with their enviroment and have just crouched [bANNED TEXT] approached trouble is if anybody had seen and reported him it would not have made a difference wether it was a realeased fox or one that had natrually been born in the wild he would still have been prosecuted under the hunting act.atb dell

Same as On an estate i keepered years ago, some were released onto the partridge ground, poor buggers. wa a case of driving up to them on the quad with a shotgun, they rarely attempted to run, just sat there looking lost which they were
Urban Fox Control London 8
This was nothing new. Shame on More 4. This was simply a 'cut & shut' of the documentary MEET THE FOXES which was first broadcast on 2006. All it was was a shortened version of the 2006 documentary with a woman's voice over. Surely, they could have spent the money and actually made a 2010 version. Just like most T.V programs......... REPEATS
