those dog's look in fine fettle, some excellent pic's and all in all some good work done on the day by the look's of it, i think my next big purchase will be a decent camera. thank's for the pic's

Quite aware what winter fodder is but the fields in your picture have never been cut for fodder have they look at the rushes your dogs are going through bit high arent they and the land is too steep

Rabbits are a pest and should be treated as such....If that means all year round control then so be it...Its the lads land..dogs..ferrets so let him decide if he should summer hunt or not...Just becau

get over it my dogs are more than capeable and have proved it. At least we all know where we stand with the whippets. good quality proven dog good stamina, nose, FEET ect why not offer him out to stud, i have not let him be used yet as i dont feel the [bANNED TEXT] bitch has come along that deserve what this firey young dog can offer.

As for kits i bred 2 jill last year and kept 2 jills back for myself, i have some cracking young kits on at the minute which alot have gone to pet homes and a few for working i dont breed anything i dont have a demand for.

your [bANNED TEXT] these fields arent the crop fields but they all border them, the crop fields dont have the warrens in but the rabbit runs that look like the M62 leading into them are a sure sign where the culprits live.

dont worry about my dogs and how many i have they are much loved pets which reward me in the field doing what they love and e superb at. they might not be the best but they do all i ask and more,

All my dogs will be with me till they end and live out there retirement here not like some who swap and change all the time.

thanks for all the positive comments from the people who understand what needs to be done for real ferreters week in week out.

Tom

Are Whippets your first rabbiting dogs or had others before these? The dog your offering for stud has barely done 1season and you think thats tested enough?

I asked about how many kits you have bred from your 4jills tis year 36-37 :whistling: that were ready(IYO) last weekend to go?

those fields are too high and steep for harvesting hay there grazed all year round  look in the background opposite side of the dale

the hay meadows are in the bottoms not up on the tops

OK Thomas did nt you pm me last September asking myself to take you out in the Dales ferreting as you wanted to learn more about ferreting?
