Update on Woody

How chuffed am I.

 

Woody is 10 months now and I have had him out with the gun for a wander, last time home and again a few weeks later (friday night).

 

First time out I had one pigeon which after a bit of encouragement he picked up, dropped (bit of encouragement), picked up and he brought it back to me. Sat in front of me and dropped it. Not quite in my hands but close.

 

We were out on friday night and shot another pigeon which landed in the middle of a yet to be cut silage field. In the gate and headed in the general direction and he worked the wind until he found it, picked it up and brought it back. Again sat in front, didnt hand it to me just dropped it. I was well impressed as the grass was up to his shoulders.

 

All I can say is I am chuffed as a chuffed thing, just need to try and get some photos now and then I will get them posted.
