here are some pics from last saturdays sea fishing:

 

this was the biggest fish of the day. an 8lb pollack

 

this was my 7lb pollack

 

this was the only cod caught

 

there were plenty of mackrel about allbeit they were very small

 

 

species caught on the day: cod, mackrel, pollack, pouting, wrasse, ling, whiting, coalie (and some others i cant remember )

 

the 7lb pollack i caught probably gave me the best fight of my life. i brought my pike rod as well as my boat rod.

i set up the pike rod with a jelly worm and a lead head. when i caught the pollack all he wanted to do was dive and boy did he fight. well worth it.

 

on the way back we came across an injured sunfish floating on the surface of the water, we turned the boat around and tried to land it bit it took off into the depths. jesus it was massive, quite an unusual fish.
