Casso 1,261
what basic kit do you need to take when out working yourlurcher just about to buy a pup just want some advice for the future thanks your thinking too far ahead bud, get the pup sorted first, good feeding , vacs ,etc ,after that, the best thing you can do is spend time with it , what kit you need will depend on what you plan doing with the pup, maybe lamp and battery,i dont know, only you know , what you intend doing with it ,,best of luck ,,
poacher3161 1,766
Before you get your pup go out and buy a book on careing and looking after your pup read it then read it again. Its better to learn about keeping a pup that way rather than by trial and error.atb dell

GooseyLucy 2
If you mean for injuries etc. then some sort of absorbent lint or padding, a bandage, some vetwrap, antiseptic wipes, water, a bit of honey and be prepared to carry your dog back to the vehicle if he goes badly lame. In the car if you're a way from home or veterinary help then also carry icewraps (migraine patches are handy as they can be applied and bandaged into place), a bottle of disinfectant for wound washing. More bandages, cotton wool, absorbent pads etc. I always carry old razor blades just incase you need to shave a bit of the dogs fur off to get better access to the injury site. Some muscle embrocation, arnica gel, freeze gel for knocked up toes (but NOT over open wounds). A large syringe to get some fluids down the dog if it is too distressed to drink. Just trying to remember what's in my own doggy first aid kit ... mine has been an absolute gem when I had a bitch rip her foreleg open and another ran over some glass/rusty metal in long grass and ripped her foot pad in two and again when I had a bitch having a hand-slip knocked out by a marauding Springer jumping out the side of the field straight infront of her.
