Its hard to put an age on it.. they all develop at differnt rates but observing them will give you a far better idea of when you think there ready to go ... good luck with them Quote Link to post

wullieh 53
one thing i was told by a game keeper to get the best out of your offspring never knowing if you might want to trace the line it 8 wks is ok 10 wks is better but 12 weeks even better this give the jill time to sort them out and also lets you know they used to human contact. chimp 299
6 - 8 weeks depending if they are feeding well. wullieh are you a gamekeeper now because a keeper once spoke to you ? Quote Link to post
johnny boy68 11,726
One of the litters I bred this year where a bit slow weaning, didn't start giving them homes till they were 7-8 weeks.Yet the other litter I have would've been ready at 5-6 weeks, the best way to tell imo is to observe their behaviour and how independant they are. Though I wouldn't rehome a kitt until they're at least 6 weeks Quote Link to post
The one 8,486
Id be looking for them feeding themselves by 6 weeks then taking the jill out and running then on till there 8 weeks before rehoming them Quote Link to post
