Oh Yes seem to remember you bringing this up once before, so seems like you have nothing better to comment on, as I think I said then, I do work my dogs through the winter but I respect my quarry enough to leave it in peace through the summer, There for leaving me time to enjoy some interesting company at game fairs and shows. Yes we do quite well in Pooch Parades, we also do very well in most working events at such shows too. So to sum up : We do well in showing, we do well in working events, and the dogs fill the pot in winter. :tongue2: What can yours do? :hmm: A good dog man has his dog at his side all year round not just in the winter In my experience people who's dogs can't cut the mustard in the show ring are usually the people who criticize the most.
CorkyJohn 808
I think that last sentence really sums you up Nighthunter, have you considered KC breeds How the hell you can tell what breeding is in your rescue dog is beyond me, there's obvious characteristics but all of them can be merited to different breeds so unless you know for definite I would just say mongrel

Netherless not every animal can be up to scratch and youll need a lot of luck to get a great dog if you dont go through a lot of average and rubbish on the way. I do my part of the deal if they dont do theres they wont be in my kennels end off. will see who ends up with the real deal.

lurcher lass 9
i have a pair of dogs out of bigland boy,, litter mates to dells bitch both are very different, the dog is incredibly laid back, you could move him like a slab of beef he's content being near you lying at your feet or nearby, has been ferreting and done a bit lamping and though was slow to start i'm planning on keeping him fit, and fingers crossed he'll show me what he's really made of come next season, in the last month he's finally slotted together and is showing nice shape on shoulders etc was looking a bit lanky and shapeless for a bit so bring on winter! the bitch has a whole different temp all together, you have to hold her back a bit, is a bit fizzy at times but is maturing nicely now, i wont deny that times she was a bit too independent for my liking but training is there and she's mellowed now,, working wize last season she was flying right from the start from an early age too enjoy your dogs mate and nice to see the pics, in regards to showing your dogs as long as it merry and not too serious then have fun! a dog should be kept for life and whether you go to shows, bring the dog fishing, walks in woods, travelling etc at least your spending time with your dog and your helping the summer move by,, nice to see pics of my dogs relations all the best lurcher lass xxx
