can a ferret be too big to work

i always like to get them going in small warrens first. As soon as they start getting connected with the bunnys it should nt take long for the penny to drop. Good luck

I always give mine a good feed before going out.

I don't go to work on an empty stomach and I can't see the benefit of them doing so either. Ferrets will hunt for fun. IMO having them fed will just mean that they have more energy to chase rabbits with and won't be as inclined to eat them.

i always feed mine a light meal on my way to ferreting, ive found they dont lay up really at all, just what works for me. ive tried not feeding and the first thing they do is kill and then lay up

 

i think if you asked 10 blokes what they do you'd get 10 different answers IMO
