AKeeNShoT 5 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 what are these terriers like? do many people use them for working etc thanks toddy. had a mate who had one, the russel in it was off good working background the saely was a pet but me mate dug to the pup from this union every w/end for years it was very very hard, looked like a small sealy he bred it twice to leggy russel bitches once after 4years then again at six years the pups 3/4 bred russel made cracking digging dogs . so i suppose the sealy added a lot to the russel, coat bones and head.only thing was to me it was a bit long in the body, but once he crossed out to russel types they looked in proportion Quote Link to post
lurchers 2,881 Posted July 3, 2010 Report Share Posted July 3, 2010 morris richardson and goz rivers worked and bred them for years so did jimmy thompson and they done what they were suposed to mate.the onlything is now they ran out of bloodline as there wasnt alot of peolpe who worked them at this day and age Quote Link to post

It was very interesting, I know the chap well, he digs to them, hunts rats and mink with them. I took some photos of them but they are too big to upload. If you are interested log on to the website. Guest blitz Posted July 5, 2010 Report Share Posted July 5, 2010 what are these terriers like? do many people use them for working etc thanks toddy. we had some bout 10 years ago.we had 2 sealyham xrussells and pure sealyham.the sealyham russells were good cover dogs and 1 of them done a bit of earth work but quit [bANNED TEXT] he was bout 2 so was given away as a cover dog.the pure sealyham was a good earth dog just a bit big on the ribs and cud,nt get in some of the spots.he was sent to a guy we new in ireland.
