A mate of mine done the same thing with a size 6/0 barbed when bass fishing back a few months just as we were heading past the main headland he decides he wants to test how sharp his hook was he dident see the huge tidal wake that had developed past the headland and as the boat piched very sharply he drove the hook through the top of his finger it was in such a way we could see the point of the hook against the underside of his fingernail :sick:

im sure most of us have had the odd hook stuck in a finger but my worst was when i was tying a no 6 on and a mate walked straight through my swim taking the line with him,size 6 through the lip stings a bit i can tell you

i had an eel ona pike dead bait once , i grabbed the eel , it slipped straight thru my hand and hey presto no6 straight thru the thumb .

i was fly fishing quite a few years ago,there was a strong side wind.mid flow into a long cast and bang,felt like someone had thrown a brick into the side of my head.i dropped the rod,looked around for the b*stard that done it then it dawned on me..there hanging from my ear was a mayfly nymph

was funny when my ear stopped ringing but i carried on fishing then had to go see the Dr to get it removed
