no they dont matter but putting the best dog to the best bitch does matter reguardless of names or lines and the names of the lines are bollocks anyway how many of you who own any dogs out of any lines no the original dogs they started with?? can someone show me gollys or billys sire?? untill you can you should leave the subject any old staff crossed with a big greyhound bitch will produce big strong dogs that batter stuff half there size! get out there and source your own dogs its the only way to genuinley no what you got in your kennels

This thread has turned into utter bollox !!! The top bloodlines need to be used in anything , dogs , horses , pigeons etc if you wish to produce quality , even then its not a cert , but these lines are not PURE in bullxs as over time they have been diluted down by breeding to crap bitches . Its shite people coming on here ans saying "Billy was crap , Golly was crap " when they werent , but there lines , watered down probably are . Its no coincidence that its the same stud farms that breed champion racehorses or the same kennels that breed greyhound Derby winners , as they constantly go back to undiluted , proven breeding . Plus , mix with the right lads , who keep their lines close to a select few , and you wont have to worry about buying in dogs , i was offered both the pups in my kennels at the moment and are due another one soon , which most on here would die for if they knew his sire .

i think it does matter about the line, of corse it does as someone said before lines are important it alot of things pigeons ect, well bred bulls from the correct backround is a differnce between a bull that looks good on a lead, and is game to pull at other dogs whilst on a walk does not make them worthy of being a stud to a grey bitch, and there are proper bulls in the lines mentioned, that earnt there keep the proper way, not on fancy harness's and they produced these dogs with names, an they have names for a reason, they have been seen an talked about, an to be talked about they must be either doing smething rght or something wrong, and in the lines mentioned they all seem to be doing something right other wise they would be dead in water, therfor they are still talked about by people who SAY LINES DONT MATTER, THEY DEFINATLY DO

not far from the black country and never heard them mentioned untill i come on here. good dog men breed there own good dogs and dont buy into others is all im saying. never had to buy a pup in plenty of people i no own good dogs or ill just breed my own-matter closed
