lakeland x bedlington

Recommended Posts

If you really want to breed from your lakie then put it accross a non ped whippet. I have a jrtxwhippet (terrier sire and whippet dam) and hes a cracking dog, does everything you would expect a lurcher to do.

If your not desperate to use the lakie then buy a lurcher rather than breeding for the sake of it.

Here is the jrtxwhip :thumbs:

cant beleive thats a russel x whippet looks a nice thing would not have thought they would have come out so leggy

He certainly is, the litter was bred by dogger off here. The whole litter were very typey, having said that i've seen the same cross come out very odd looking! We were just lucky i guess

looking good bud :thumbs:

Cheers mate, how are things at your end of the world?

I have seen two others of that cross mate and they looked nothing like yours.

The ones i see were far smaller and would have been bushing dogs really.

I do like the cross and think they could be a bit more switched on than a beddy cross.

hi all, just a question, do you think a bedlington x lakelan could run a lamp or catch rabbits in day.

:icon_eek::icon_eek::wallbash: just get a lurcher

mate, i asked a question, meaning im not going to do it, no need to go of on one.

ok well shite question in my opinion... just get a lurcher if u want a lamp dog,,or dog for running down rabbits..seen many diffrent types of dogs catch rabbits rough grond cover ect, but if u want dog for get a running dog :icon_redface:

I see what your geting at fieldsportsman you do have an excelent type lakey and would produce stuning pups over the right bitch would be very tempted myself, if I were you I'd get yourself a little whippet bitch if you were to get another dog but I'd wait a couple of years so not to upset the apple cart from experience a dog as close to you as yours is could change over night with the introduction of a new animal whilst he's still young , but yes I would consider using him at some point sooner rather than later to keep one back for the future as dogs as bidable and keen as yours are few and far , and before people start jumping in I'm not talking earth work before you start just teling the lad what I think as he's asked ,
