saw this guy sitting about 15m away. Took the Hatsan AT44 and went for a head shot.

Bullet went in the back and out the front...

They may be ugly birds round your part of te world, but they are certainly more colourful than ours and that red area around the eye would make a great aimpoint

I was out on some permission a few nights back and shot at what i thought was a rabbit in a bracken bed. Id ranged the distance prior to the shot it was 50 yards i was watching a rabbit run then to the left of the run i saw movment. I gave it a milldot and took the shot and killed it stone dead. I left it there half hour or so before i went to retreve it and realised it was a leveret, the pellet had passed through the eye and emerged out of the other eye. Good old HW100 kt.177 using RWS super domes!!
