mole catcher 1 Posted November 20, 2006 Report Share Posted November 20, 2006 (edited) Out today doing a bit of pike fishing,tryed all we could to lure a fish into taking our baits but to no avail,another blank. What was interesed were the bloody north american cray fish. untill we poped up our baits they all ended up like this My mate did miss one though Still,cant win them all but i will take a crayfish trap next time,fishermans revenge Edited November 20, 2006 by mole catcher Quote Link to post
bill88 6 Posted November 20, 2006 Report Share Posted November 20, 2006 Mole,you should fish for the crayfish,river near me is teeming with em.I made a funnel trap from chicken mesh,dropped a rabbit carcass in and hey presto next day 74 crayfish.Purged them in an old water tank for a couple of day's and stuck the f****rs on the bbq,f*****g luvly mate,as good as any lobster i've ate.Cheaper than lobster as well lol. I'd be very happy :11: Jane never tried cray fish had plenty lobster crab prawns ,so i take it i would like them that would amuse me trapping cray fish are there any were in scotland you can trap them with a small type of lobster trap made espec for them etc Quote Link to post

whin 463 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Share Posted November 25, 2006 crab claws are great when i go for a few ours after work to pull the creels and nets in ,i usaly get a dozen or two crabs ,great on toast or baked potateos or a salad , go to try afew nets for lobster crab hopeing to get some for christmas dinner for a change all depends on weather Quote Link to post
