dogvixen01 34
we have had reports of resistance to frontline over the last couple of years. (Pest control-we treat houses) I use stronghold on the dog and recommend it to customers and have had no reports of any failure with it. It controls round worm too as a bonus! Where is the best place to get stronghold from.Thanks.
ratattack 111
treat the dog with a different active ingredient not product regularly, treat the bedding for fleas and where it lives/spends most of it's time or you might as well not bother treating it at all. Most flea products don't work because people don't apply them correctly or not enough is used because it's too expensive Nothing should be too expensive when it comes to the wellbeing of your animal. neil cooney 10,416
At the start of the Summer fill a half barrell with sheepdip, keep it covered and you can use it as little or as often as you want. You'll keep fleas and mites of several dogs all summer for between 10 and 20 quid. Another tip is to try and feed garlic. It does work but is more of a preventitive than a cure. Walkertalker 0
I have had trouble from fly strike to the dogs ears and fleas used advacate in the past but I am not happy with applying strong chemicals directly to the dogs so I have been giving them a single clove of garlic chopped up daily and hung a Vapona fly cartridge above there beds had no trouble and it is 4 month since I applied the advacate. Will see if I can go all summer without an attack.
Ashover rabbit dogs 76
Before frontline i used Novatop, then i switched to Frontline because it lasts longer on the dog, but yes it is expensive esspesially when your running a pack. Then i descovered Epferol spay and spot on it has the same active ingrediant as Frontline (FIPRONIL) but is alot cheaper, like with Frontline the spray lasts longer than the drops. atb mrs A.R.D
