gav22 24 Posted June 28, 2010 Author Report Share Posted June 28, 2010 i should of just stuck to my plan i was buying a bull cross for months i was waiting for the right dog and then came across jack i felt sorry for the dog and thought id get him up and working again 3 trips to the vets and all the money i had saved for the bull cross spend and ended up with a dog that cant hunt fu*k sake. but thats the way it goes Quote Link to post

wirral countryman 2,110 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Share Posted June 28, 2010 sorry to hear your bad luck mate,sounds like the dogs been blown mate,normally the lungs aren't far behind when the heart enlarges like that,I've lost a few down the year's from overunning them,it happens,my vet dragged it out for 9wks on the last occasion costing me a small fortune if I had carried on paying,I ran a bill up and told them when the dog is sorted I'll pay you,it was then I got the truth and had her put to sleep,they told me she would never run again,hope you get better news than I did,atb,wirralman Quote Link to post
gav22 24 Posted June 29, 2010 Author Report Share Posted June 29, 2010 thank you very much bendrover. i thought long and hard about different crosses my original choice was a deerhound cross but after a bit more thought i decided on bull cross its nothing to do with the looks of the dog all im thinking about is the build of the dog for the work it will be doing and the type of land it will be hunting its a nightmare having to start from scratch again but at least i can say i tried even if im being called a silly c*nt for doing it thanks again your a top man Quote Link to post
