still young mate. and with shouting at dogs yes there is a time when u need to but most top trainers are very quitly spoken. i just think u have both intelligent and sensitive dog mate that needs lots of time spent on it and when u work out what sets it off u will be able to read the siuation and try to avoid it before it happens. also what age did u enter it mate because if its only 10 months then it could of been entered to young and that has messed up a lot of dogs mate. if i was me i would just keep it on a lead until it matures take it everywhere with u hope all goes well mate

i have a bitch here that was the same as a young pup ,would shit its self at just about any thing out of the norm , i just give here plenty of time and praise and now she,s doing very well indeed ,be very carefull on when you enter her to bigger game .only when you are sure she,s ready and her confidence is high .she,s 20 months now and is flying she,s uped her game .she marks well and even found a barron vixen the other week that has been causing a gamekeeper we know a real headache ,she even went to ground and nearly had to be dug out (not on purpose )thats her third so this year will be her first proper year but i dont think she,ll have any trouble now ,she,s a star and well behaved at any time .was putting locator collar on terrier a few months back at the side of a field full of newly born lambs and the lurcher was bouncing to go ,i looked over my shoulder to see mr fox had ran right past me and away across the field . :clapper: just keep pushing her in the right direction but dont over do it if you give the vib off the dog will pick up on it and you might aswell do what bird said .but you never know what youve got untill they reached the age of two and older .ive seen dogs that are full of them selves and loads of confidence jack when the time comes so you never know .dont give up on her yet you might have something descent  my bitch wouldnt even run a rabbit at ten months old i dont think i could have started at a lower point with her
