markha 99
Today saw the arrival in the post of a combro cb625 Mk4 chrono. This thing is fantastic, so simple to set up and use. masmiffy 82
Fair results there mate for sure. My Titan Manitou tips the scales at 11.8ft lb with air arms field 5.52's Dont use anything else it seems to love em!! Edited June 25, 2010 by masmiffy Quote Link to post
markha 99
Well I was a bit quiet work wise today so decided to run a whole heap of shots through the chrono. Started at 190 bar fill and finished at 100 bar. starting ftlbs was 10.92 finishing at 10.68 Lowest was 10.52 and highest was 11.47 All with AA diablo fields 16.4gr The sweet spot was definately from around 25 shots in from a 190 bar fill right through to the 65th shot at around 130 bar, Or a starting fill of around 175 bar to be on the sweet spot. So a possible 40 consistent shots. Boring but true and I only had to do it once, now what else can the devil do for idle hands Quote Link to post
stevieskin 4
How did you reach that pellet weight mate? AA fields are listed in chairgun at 15.9 grains... I have weighed thousands of them and usually varies betweem 15.8 and 16.2 so I use 16grain as a good average. If they are really 16grain then your readings are really around max 11.2 min 10.2 Quote Link to post
markha 99
Thats interesting Stevieskin as Air Arms factory quoted the 5.52 diablo field ,over the phone , as being 16.4gr so thats what I based the chrono on, i havent weighed them myself as I dont have scales, and bow to your weighing of a lot of them and will call them 16gr as an average. Cheers for that info. Mark Quote Link to post

Mark here you go mate, on the lid of AA field 5.52 it says weight is 1.037 grams If you use this converter it comes out at 16.0033grains. http://www.metric-conversions.org/weight/grams-to-grains.htm Quote Link to post

Boring but true and I only had to do it once, now what else can the devil do for idle hands 40 consistant shots sounds about right Fill to 180 then let a few go at the paper before you begin your hunt once you've put 3 to 5 in the bull, your in and ready I always used 15.9 grains as the weight of the AAF pellets (thats what it says on the tin) Glad to have been a help, now I certainly can think of a million things to do for idle hands goes like this: 1. Refil Gun 2. Pellets in pocket or pouch 3. A few at paper 4. Mooch until target spotted, 5. Load and make ready. 6. Aim 7. Fire, 8......... you get the picture lol Phantom Quote Link to post
