Prestige Kub

Good morning all.

Well I've been a bit quiet on the old shooting front (new motorbike + nice weather = lots of playing ) and I thought I would dig the Kub out and bring it to work (Ended up doing nights tonight  so thought I'd make the best of it) First of tried to fill the Kub up via my divers bottle and I could only get 150psi in before the nozzle would shoot out of the filling port. Now 200 psi is whats normally put in, and on further investigation the two "O" rings on the fill nozzle have had tiny little slivers taken off them, which I think is causing a bad seal in the fill port. I think a trip back to the shop is in order to find out if this is a common problem, and see if I can get some spare "O" rings to replace them.

Any how back to the shooting. Decided to have a drive round (the wildlife is so used to vehicles its unbelivable, you can walk round for an hour and everything will do one, or drive round and it stays put :hmm: )

First bunny of the night is about 35 yrds away just sat having a munch. So down comes the window, off goes the engine and whack my .177 accupell decideds to give him a bit of a head ache. With him in the back of the pick up carry on having a drive. See a few woodies but these just seem that bit far off, as soon as they see me there off (Think a hide may be in order for these). On the way back to my office see a nice sized bunny sitting about 50 yrds away. So remembering the advice given (Cheers Si  really helped zeroing at 35 yrds and adjusting accordingly)a nice slow deep breath, exhale slightly and thwack another one in the bag.

I know two isn't alot but for an hours work this is a bonus for me (Especially being paid whilst doing it :clapper: ) and breakfast for the ferrets when I get home. (Before anyone rasise an eyebrow to me doing this at work, I have written permission to do so :) )

I am really enjoying shooting with the Kub and glad I went with the .177 caliber. It isn't too heavy to carry, the thumb hole stock and side bolt action mean a fast reload with little movement. I really couldn't recommend this rifle enough a real joy to shoot. It definately works well with Accupells for the magazine. I have noticed some pellets struggle to fit in (The skirts seem to get bent on some pellets like Bisley LRG) whilst others tend to drop out.

Again as I am at work I am unable to put any pictures up, but I will try to get some when Im out again.

Hope you may have found some of this review helpful.

P.S. I've finally managed to get some pics up, as you can see I had a bit more luck this morning, I never knew it got light that early :clapper:
