johnny boy68 11,726 Posted June 24, 2010 Report Share Posted June 24, 2010 Well we're getting down to the buisness end of the World Cup!Lets try and have a thread just about the football is it,we've had one thread pulled because it can't be kept on topic.There's patriotic and theres pathetic and most posters are just the latter I think Brazil have looked the most complete team so far but lets be fair they haven't been tested yet,Argentina going forward are awesome but look a little weak at the back,Spain have showed they can play lovely football but not lethal football,Italy have made there usual slow start though i expect them to come through the group.Germany look typical Germany....they do enough which leads to England who so far have in all honesty been poor but this is where the tournament really begins and I for one think they've got the players to win this,IF they get the balance right! I think saddly the argies or Brazilians will probably pick it up again. The old saying about picking up points when your playing bad,is what England have just done.....so im optimistic. That said i think Argentina,Spain and Brazil are the teams we cant beat even at our best.....and we will meet the Argies or Spain if we beat Germany,i think. Germany look strong, but so would Luton Town if they played the teams they had in their group. Argentina, dirty players, they have a hobbit for a manager, their defense is rubbish. Spain dont impress me and rely on one player to get them to the finals, they will be knocked out next round. Brazil look very well sorted, but their defense at times has been shocking, and an easy group really. Portugal, nothing really to say about them, they still need to proove themselves. Uruguay look solid, these could get far if they remain tight. Chilie also look solid, can see these giving a hard time. Italy, yes the same old slow start, players injured, too old ect...... Not too old at all, with Pirlo and Gattuso coming on the defense will be very hard to beat. Midfield will belong to Italy, they wil score there goals on the counter. The goal keeper Marchetti looks weak and the defense will support him. If they win tonight then Italy could go all the way, defend defend defend, never underestimate the Assurri!
