kits biting

Recommended Posts

They are still young, they will nip for a while until they calm down a bit.

What you can do is curl them round and put their tails in their mouths a couple times when they bite.

i don't like the flicking nose idea, more handling and keeping their bellies full usually solves the problem.

Ferretone is a worth while investment.....drizzle it over your fingers they soon get used to associating your fingers with being licked rather than biting them.I usually find if you keep them grubbed up they soon stop biting

I'll second the ferretone. Sit down, let them run over our hands and lick some ferretone off them. Also feed them before handling and try to present them the knuckle rather than finger tips.

All i have ever done with kits is do the bulk of the handling after there bellys are full of meat & they usually couldnt care less what you do with them

have tidied this topic up and removed useless posts, it may be said it humour/tongue in cheek, on replies we have witnessed in the past on how to stop biting, but when I start recieving reports on such, its needs sorting, this topic can either carry on, trying to give good advice, or I'll delete it, simple as that
