would it be worthwhile

Hi, mate.

I think maybe a change of gun may be the way to go. If your gun needs a new spring then fair enough but don't put an OX in it, it'll ruin it. They always over-spring the gun, it'll be horrible to shoot well.

Have a look at the 'search' feature on this site. It's a good way to save a bit of time.

Good luck, fella.

Cheers.

I'm not liking the sound of THAT! If you're not sure the tool is up to the job of dispatching prey quickly and humanely, then you shouldn't be using it!

Stop shooting at living creatures and get the damn thing chronographed!

Hey guy's I've had a browse and the Westlakes are sold under other names such as BAM (Westlake & Bam both sold in the USA) in this country they are sold under the brand name of SMK!

Now I'm pretty sure that all SMK's are capable of despatching bunnies at nominal air gun ranges, apart from the Biathlon Trainer ( but thats meant for 10M Paper work anyway) their BB rifles and soft-air.

Do you have a model number stamped on it anywhere? or failing that a photo to put up?

Regarding Ox springs, its highly unlikely that if you buy the one thats designed for that particular rifle that it would put your gun over the limit.

Ox do have a bit of a bad rep though, no doubt that was started by someone with a grudge or something, lets face it if it were all that bad would they still be making them?

I've just had to ban someone from my own forum after he began libeling and slagging off one of his competitors saying that if you were to buy anything from a certain company, you would never get your goods, kiss yer brass goodbye etc....

What that prick with ears didn't know is I have dealt with this company a couple of times and their products and service was brilliant.
