Foxgun Tom 75
Well!! the good old urban fox is at it again, see link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/sussex/10363646.stm In the past I've set up live cage traps in my garden and been successfull in live trapping fox's I'm thinking of carrying out an experiment to see how many fox's I can catch in a year! I live in an ex-council house on an estate in Paisley at the foot of the Glennifer Braes, needless to say any fox's caught will be dispatched in a quick humane manner The trapping will be carried out under the premise of health and safety in securing my toddler grandson has a safe environment to play and safely develop in ie: his "Auld Pop's" back garden!! Foxgun Tom 75
to be fair the kid did grab the foxs tale,it was bond to snap [/quote To be also fair!! this happened at a school and they have a duty of care and responsibilty to visitors and pupils. The child also happened to exhibit natural behaviour and unfortunately was injured. I'm sure the school would not put up with local dogs running about the playground on their own! why then allow fox's after what's happened recently?. If rats, wasps or cockroaches had been seen at the school I'm pretty damn sure the service's of a pest controller would have been asked for!! In a school environment people must be able to perceive and pre-empt any scource of likely danger to pupils and visitors? Tom

chimp 299
3 years old , at that age hardly knows what a fox is . in his eyes probably thought it was a cat or dog. either way it's a wake up call , the foxes are getting braver and need to start showing fear of humans again. danw 1,748
We know that fox carry toxocara in their crap and to allow them free reign in a child's play area is stupidity in the first degree and a total failure in the schools duty of care the children
poacher3161 1,766
just hope and pray rabies never reaches these shores as all these do gooder idiots who think the fox is a cuddly dog like creature and try to humanize it to a point were it loses its natrual fear of man will have a lot to answer to

RicW 67
About 2 months ago Sussex Cricket Club engaged a "Professional Gunman" to shoot a fox which had been digging up the pitch. The local loony brigade went spare. It did no good at all for the CC to point out that they had two foxes living under the pavilion which were left alone, and it was only this one which was being destructive which they had had culled. One moron even wrote to the local rag saying that the fox had a perfect right to dig up the pitch, it was just doing what foxes do. Pity the shooter didn't nail all three. Kay 3,709
if people stopped encouraging them by feeding them they would be fearfull of humans
GET THEM OUT (.)(.) 39
i quite often go to grimsby town/cleethorpes, ( dont ask why ) the foxes there are in great numbers, untill the staff turns up anyways, ive got pictures of them coming up to the car door and feeding out my hand, ( out goes the staff ) its unreal, if you want one close you dont squeak as they wont even look at you, but get a wrapper and crunch it up, they come running, my uncle has a small farm just a mile outside town, his wife was feeding the chickens when a fox come thro the garden chased down a bod and took it away, she tryed shouting but it didnt help lol, the next day the fox returned but never went home,
